State Party Convention to Elect State Party Officers

“OFFICIAL CALL”

CALL is hereby made to all RPNM State Central Committee Members to attend a State Central Committee Meeting on Dec 3, 2022, held at 9 AM MDT at the Farm and Ranch Museum 4100 Dripping Springs Rd Las Cruces, NM 88011

This State Central Committee Meeting has one specific agenda item:

1. Meeting to elect RPNM Officers for the term of Dec 2022 – Dec 2024

2-1-4. STATE - CENTRAL COMMITTEE - STATE OFFICERS
A. Organizational Meeting and Election of State Officers: At a meeting of the State Central Committee called between November 15, and January 15, following the biennial election, the State Central Committee shall elect a:

Chairman,
First Vice-Chairman,
Second Vice-Chairman,
State Vice-Chairman from Congressional District I,
State Vice-Chairman from Congressional District II,
State Vice-Chairman from Congressional District III,
Secretary,
Treasurer.

1. State Vice-Chairmen from Congressional Districts - Nomination & Selection - District
Caucuses: At the Biennial Organizational Meeting of the State Central Committee described above in Rule 2-1-4.A the members of the State Central Committee from each congressional district shall caucus and nominate a single candidate for the office of state vice-chairman from each of their respective districts. Voting at each district caucus shall be by secret ballot.

a. Exception – Secret Ballot: A voice vote may be taken if there is only one (1) candidate.

2. State Vice-Chairmen from Congressional Districts - At-Large Confirmation & Election:

Each nominee for state vice-chairman from each congressional district shall be confirmed or rejected by a majority vote of the State Central Committee; such confirmation shall constitute election by the State Central Committee at-large.

B. Terms of Office: The term of each elected officer of the State Central Committee shall begin the first day following his or her election, and such officer shall serve for two years or until his or her successor is duly elected or appointed.

Special Rules in effect for this SCC meeting are:

  1. All self-nominations must be received no later than November 25, 2022 at 5:00pm via the following link: https://forms.gle/5N4hLECFJS6SFVNs6

    1. Nominations will not be recognized from the floor.

2. Exception / No Floor Nominations: In the case of a failure by the self-nominating process to obtain the allocated number of open elected positions, nominations shall be accepted from the floor only for those offices or positions without self-nominees.
3. All paid registrations (in person or proxy) must be completed by 5pm Nov 30, 2022. NO EXCEPTIONS.

4. The parliamentary procedure used, shall be the “rule of the gavel.”
5. Voting process will be conducted via paper ballot.
